Major Mineral Elements - required in large specific quantities by animals – pasture intake generally provides adequate major mineral element levels, except at particular times of demand. Ie. Magnesium prior to and Calcium after calving or lambing.
Trace Mineral Elements - required in trace levels by animals – pasture intake can supply moderate levels but this depends on various factors including soil status, seasonal fluctuations and changing animal demands.

DairyMin Chelate is a balanced blend of the five major trace minerals required by Dairy cows in New Zealand. The minerals are supplied as organically bound chelates with the exception of Selenium to ensure effective supplementation in the face of chemical antagonism from minerals otherwise available to the cow and also to counteract poor absorption by the cow.
Levels have been determined by over 2000 herbage samples taken throughout the country. Specific areas may require the addition of regionally deficient minerals. |

A loose formulation salt lick suitable for dairy cattle year round. DairyMin DMX contains a higher level of Magnesium (5.6%), as well as a good balance of other essential major and trace elements with probiotic, feed meal and molasses base to enhance palatability. A balanced level of salt (14.9% sodium) helps prevent animal gorging and excessive intakes. DairyMin DMX salt lick is ideal for supplying extra minerals when other means of supply are not available.
